Girls Soccer | Jags Ride Roughshod Over Roughriders

GIRLS SOCCER TOOK to the manicured pitch at Partrich Field on Tues., May 16, looking to dominate the visiting Roughriders from Roeper. The Jags began the barrage of shots early and did not relent until the final whistle.
The scoring was rapid-fire and the cats tallied six goals on the day. Defense was equally effective, holding Roeper to nary a goal, with a sum total of only six attempts.
Sophomore Rebecca Einstandig drew first blood with a blast from the left side, beating the goalkeeper to the near post. Einstandig continued the pressure on the defense for remainder of the game, tallying four more goals to finish with 5 on the day. Freshmen Taylor Berman deposited a penalty shot into the back of the net, cementing the 6-0 victory for the Jags.
